I started this journey with a single camera and a love for telling real stories — the unposed laugh, the quiet glance, the moment before anyone says cheese.
That camera was a gift from my wife (my girlfriend at the time), and the first place I ever pointed it was our church — photographing youth events and Sunday services for the media team. Watching people’s real reactions through a lens, and realising how much those photos meant to them afterward, is where this all began.

I'm naturally more of a listener than a talker — a camera gives me a quiet way in. I don't need to fill a room to do my job well; I just need to watch closely and be ready when the real moment happens. It's probably why documentary-style, candid photography has always been my favourite part of this work — and even in a posed session, I'm usually still watching for the moment that slips out in between.
If you asked me to pick a favourite, it'd probably be weddings — there's nothing quite like being trusted with someone's whole day and handing it back as a story they can revisit for decades. But personal branding sessions have grown on me too — watching someone walk in unsure how to be photographed and walk out looking (and feeling) like themselves is its own kind of reward.
